Essay
A celosia is a wall that has agreed to be partial. Casa Celosio takes that agreement as its whole subject: a facade perforated until it stops behaving like a boundary and starts behaving like a filter. Air moves through it. Sound moves through it. Light arrives already broken into pieces.
The screen solves a problem that glass cannot. Glass gives you the view and takes the shelter; a solid wall reverses the trade. The perforation refuses to choose — it grants privacy and openness in the same gesture, and the cost is only that neither is total.
What the wall produces is not a view but a reading. The interior receives the outside as a shifting pattern that moves across the floor through the day and disappears at dusk. The building keeps no record of it. The record is the room, changed hourly.
A wall that has agreed to be partial.
